SFC Mission
We believe that God has a plan for us to live meaningful, happy and productive lives at this stage of our human existence. Given the formidable obstacles that we face, we need a renewed relationship with God and the power of the Holy Spirit to live a new life.
We need a support environment where God's plan is revealed to us and where we can draw strength from other single men and women who are committed to love and support us.
We need a group where our energy and talents can be developed and put to good use to serve God and His people. We need a place where we can be formed to prepare us for the next stage of our lives, to marry or to live a single life in total dedication to the Lord.
We therefore commit to the work of personal renewal and evangelization in our milieu as part of the larger work of the Couples for Christ Family and in line with its global mission of "Renewing The Face of the Earth."

Warm greetings of love and peace!
The Netherlands CFC-SFC is truly honoured to host this year’s 13th Singles for Christ European Conference.

In Genesis 24:16 we are told that Rebekah was " very beautiful to behold". But physical beauty was not the crucial point for Eliezer, the servant of Abraham, who was sent to find a wife for Isaac.
Eliezer's prayer gives us an important clue about the kind of beauty he sought for his master's son: "Let it be that the young woman to whom I say, Please let down your pitcher that I may drink, and she say's, 'Drink, and I will also give your camels a drink'--let her be the one"

Not a day passes without a reminder that our earthly life can end at any moment. All we need to do is read the obituary column. One message comes through loud and clear: We're here today, but we may gone tomorrow! " What is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away" (James 4:14).

"We rejoice in sharing with you our theme for next year, 2010-- 'Fullness of Life in Christ.' This theme is based on Colossians 2:6-7: 'Since you have accepted Christ Jesus as Lord, live in union with him. Keep your roots deep in him, build your lives on him, and become strongerin your faith, as you were taught. And be filled with thanksgiving.' (Good News Bible version)," says the International Council (IC) of Couples for Christ through its Chairman.

If you say I LOVE YOU while you hate your brother or sister, you are a liar. How can you love God whom you do not see if you don't love your brother whom you see? We received from His commandment: let those who love God also love their brothers. 1 John 4:20-21.

Gawad Kalinga has evolved into not just a work with the poor but also a work of nation building, from a simple but daring CFC intiative to a growing multi-sectoral partnership by the same spirit and vision.
GK hosts people-empowering activities moving towards building integrated, holistic and sustainable communities focusing first and foremost on depressed areas throughout the Philippines. Not one organization has the capability to rebuild the country, not even the government. The challenge that lies before us, the very stability and growth of a people and nation, compels more and more of us to work together.
